The Finance Officer is a key member of the finance team responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Transaction Processing and Reconciliations and assistance with Payroll administration. Reporting to the General Manager, this hands-on role supports month-end processes, compliance, procurement, and system optimisation. The Finance Officer also plays an integral part in ensuring strong financial controls are maintained. This role requires a detail-oriented, ethical, and proactive finance professional with a strong understanding of accounting processes and financial systems.

3 Key Accountabilities
- Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Payroll Administration: Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including supplier payments, customer invoicing, payroll assistance, and debt collection.
- Month-End Support and Compliance: Assist the Finance Manager in month-end activities, financial reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance with financial standards and tax regulations.
- Systems, Reporting and Cost Management: Maintain and improve financial systems, support forecasting and reporting.
Key Duties
- Accounts Payable & Receivable - setup, manage, monitor and report
- Payroll & Contractor Payments - assist, process and ensure
- Payment & Debt Collection - monitor, manage, track and establish
- Systems & Planning Support- support, maintain, help and assist
- Accounting & Legal Support - assist, maintain and contribute
- Risk & Control - support, uphold and maintain
Skills & Experience
- 2–4+ years' experience in accounts, bookkeeping, or finance administration roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, payroll systems, and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero and payment systems like ANZ, Cin7Pay and Stripe (preferred).
- High proficiency in Excel and experience with reconciliation and month-end processes.
- Familiarity with Australian tax and payroll legislation.
- Exposure to budgeting and reporting processes is advantageous.
