About The Role
As a Solution Architect at HBF, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our technology landscape. You'll be a trusted advisor to both business and technology leaders, designing solutions that balance immediate delivery with long-term strategic alignment. This role combines hands-on architecture with thought leadership, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and future-ready.

The Solution Architect Will Be Responsible For

• Owning the end-to-end solution architecture for major initiatives, ensuring designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned to HBF's strategic architecture and technology roadmaps
• Partnering with business stakeholders, product managers and delivery teams to understand goals, constraints, and success measures, then translating these into robust, outcome-driven solutions
• Evaluating and recommending solution options using modern techniques (e.g., weighted assessments, proof-of-concepts, RFPs/RFQs, roadmap analysis)
• Contributing to and evolving HBF's architecture frameworks, principles, standards and reusable patterns (e.g., API-led integration, microservices, cloud-native topologies, event-driven architectures)
• Leading the design of current and target-state architectures across business, data, application and technology domains
• Championing modern delivery practices including DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and Infrastructure as Code

About You
You're a seasoned architect with strong expertise in cloud, integration, and modern data platforms. Confident in both strategy and implementation, you simplify complex designs and influence stakeholders with ease. With agile delivery experience and relevant certifications, you thrive on shaping innovative, enterprise-scale solutions.

You Will Also Bring

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions, owning architecture outcomes
• A strong technical background (software engineering, infrastructure, networking, or cloud) with the ability to engage at implementation level
• Deep expertise in cloud (AWS preferred), integration, applications, and modern data platforms
• A track record with hybrid architectures spanning SaaS, PaaS, cloud-native and on-premise
• Knowledge of modern architecture practices: microservices, event streaming, API-led integration, zero trust
• Experience balancing COTS/SaaS with custom development (e.g., React, .NET, cloud-native)
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align to diverse stakeholders
