About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Receptionist/Reception Coordinator to join our team at Primary Care Medical clinic in Hervey Bay, QLD. This full-time role is responsible for providing exceptional front-line customer service and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy reception area.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming visitors, clients and customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering and directing incoming phone calls, taking messages and forwarding enquiries to the appropriate departments
  • Managing the scheduling of meetings and appointments, and ensuring the reception area is well-organised and maintained
  • Providing administrative support to the wider team, including photocopying, filing and data entry
  • Assisting with the coordination of reception activities and overseeing the work of junior reception staff
  • Promoting a positive company image and contributing to a welcoming office environment

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a senior-level receptionist or reception coordinator, ideally in a similar industry or environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Proficient in the use of standard office equipment and software (e.g. Microsoft Office, booking systems)
  • A friendly, professional and reliable approach, with a keen eye for detail
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the team
