About the Role:

Reporting to the National Fleet Manager, this leadership role gives you full ownership of fleet operations across Queensland. You'll drive performance, compliance, and cost control across the state, while fostering a safety-first mindset and increasing team engagement. Leading drivers and two supervisors, you'll ensure high service standards and operational excellence. Regular travel to sites within Southeast Queensland as required.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage performance, compliance, and maintenance schedules of our fleet to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Engage with drivers daily to provide guidance, resolve issues, and build positive relationships.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Financial cost control and responsibility for optimising routes for maximum productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless operations.
  • Travel to sites across Queensland to support team engagement and operational oversight.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in fleet or transport management within the waste or recycling industry.
  • Strong background in a leadership and people management role.
  • Knowledge of transport compliance, safety standards and regulations (eg. CoR and NHVR)
  • Demonstrated experience in report preparation and presentation to key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
