Job Opportunity: Azure SQL Database Specialist (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months with potential extension

Work Mode: Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure SQL Database Specialist to join our clients Data Centre and Cloud Infrastructure team on a 6 months contract with a possible extension based out in Brisbane working in Hybrid manner.

This role is ideal for a SQL expert with deep experience in Azure technologies who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex data challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases hosted in Azure
  • Optimize queries and enhance database performance
  • Implement robust security and compliance measures
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to support data operations
  • Assist with database migration, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning
  • Provide clear documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and related services
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and data centre operations
  • Proven expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
