Reporting Specialist - Fraud
Location: Brisbane
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Reporting Specialist to support an establisted Fraud team. This role is pivotal in identifying, analyzing, and reporting fraudulent activities. The ideal candidate will have expertise reporting activity and a strong understanding of operations and fraud detection methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain robust fraud detection reports and dashboards using Power BI and BIC Query.
Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
Collaborate with fraud investigators and compliance teams to identify patterns and anomalies.
Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and reports for business stakeholders.
Maintain documentation for reporting including operatoinal processes and business rules.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a reporting role within fraud analytics and reporting
Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong hands-on experience with Power BI
Experience with BIC Query (Business Intelligence Console) or similar enterprise reporting tools.
Solid understanding of insurance fraud typologies and detection techniques.
Excellent communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Actuarial Science, or related field.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to fraud and financial crime.
