What you'll be doing

The Kids Advanced Therapeutics (KAT) is an initiative of the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN). KAT builds on SCHN's existing national leadership in pediatric translational research and the delivery of clinical trials for children, enhancing our capacity to undertake life-changing and ground-breaking clinical trials in gene therapy, biologics, and other personalised medicines and devices for children with rare disorders.

This is a key position under the KAT program and its primary purpose is to assist and support in the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of gene therapy education programs across SCHN.The Project Officer role will support the clinical and project team, through a range of administrative and educational activities that support the education of hospital workforce, patients and general public in the focus subject of gene therapy.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Recognised qualification in a health-related field, or equivalent recent, relevant work experience in a health care setting, or a combination of study and work experience.
  • Demonstrate competent project management and organisational skills and experience and the ability to successfully manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate high level oral and written communication, interpersonal and consultation skills with an ability to build strong working
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to work flexibly within service demands.
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of the NSW Health system, or capability to quickly develop a working knowledge of the health system.
