• A Leadership Role: As Senior Manager, Advice Research, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the Approved Product List (APL) across a range of investment products, including Managed Funds, SMAs, Direct Equities, and ETFs.
• Strategic Impact: You'll lead research initiatives, oversee sector reviews, and contribute to Rhombus Advisory's Strategic Asset Allocation decisions.
• Engagement & Influence: Work closely with fund managers, research houses, insurers, platforms, and stockbrokers while maintaining strong relationships with advisers and internal leadership teams.
• Collaborative Culture: This role also includes Non-APL approvals, working within the Rhombus Advisory Governance Framework, and adviser/client engagement and communications. Outcomes are delivered to meet client's needs, aligned to the various business strategies and risk appetites.

About You

We're looking for a driven professional with:

• 5+ years of investment research experience, with deep knowledge of managed funds, asset classes, and portfolio construction.
• Strong understanding of advice governance, risk assurance, and investment due diligence.
• Strong knowledge of managed funds, asset classes and investment products and strategy.
• Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple research projects while maintaining attention to detail and delivering timely insights.
• Experience engaging with investment committees, fund managers, and adviser networks.
• RG146 qualification and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the APL Research – undertake sector reviews, product due diligence and ongoing monitoring within all asset classes and across product types. Rhombus Advisory has strong external research partnerships and support in seeking to recommend a best of breed list of investment options for the APL.
• Oversee the governance obligations for compliance with the Rhombus Advisory Advice Licensees.
• Overseeing contribution to the licensee Strategic Asset Allocation.
• Strategic leadership for ongoing evolution of the Research offering to future business strategy, customer requirements and business risk appetite.
• Produce high quality, understandable, consistent and regular communications and education designed for Clients and Advisers, inc. periodic investment ideas notes, presentations and meetings., as well as attend Adviser conferences and Professional Development days to lead and represent the Advice Research function/capability.
• Oversee access for Advisers to high quality Product related information, i.e. fact sheets and data, and tools for research and portfolio construction purposes.
• Contribute to leadership in continual and consistent engagement with Licensee management, adviser representative groups, and broader adviser base.
• Investment Committee Member – Active participant in the Approved Product Committee.
• Provide leadership, management and coaching to Rhombus Advisory team members, to enable successful execution of group strategy and initiatives.
• Contribute thought and people leadership across the Rhombus Advisory Group.
• Source and manage partnerships with outsourced Fund Managers and Direct Securities providers for provision of information, research and tools which support delivery on the agreed service offering.
• Act as one of the leaders and managers of relationships with selected Fund Managers which support delivery of the Research offering.
