Electricians required for DIDO role in Woomera South Australia, 12 days on 9 days off roster

Hays Recruitment are currently looking for immediately available and experienced Electricians to join our clients team at the historic town of Woomera in far north South Australia. The successful candidates will be required to have strong domestic and commercial maintenance and fault finding skills coupled with the ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences through attention to detail, expertise and teamwork.

Due to the location of the role (500km north of Adelaide) this position is a drive in drive out (DIDO) role which will see you working a 12 days on 9 days off roster. The hours of work while on swing will see you working 6.30am through to 6.30pm.

The successful candidates will also receive free accommodation in Woomera as our client has a number of local properties so you would be sharing a 3 bedroom house with one or two other people. Also included in this role are all of your meals which are provided while you are away on your 12 days swing. As these roles are remote we are requiring candidates that have a drivers licence and reliable vehicle but we are happy to look at candidates wherever they are based in South Australia.

Your primary responsibilities in this role will see you working as part of a large on-site maintenance team delivering services across a large portfolio of assets.

Your duties will include:

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Installing, testing, and commissioning new electrical systems and components as required.
• Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including documenting any changes made to systems.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.

To be successful in this role suitable candidates must have the following:

• A Class Electrical Licence
• White Card
• Drivers Licence
• You must be an Australian Citizen so are able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.

This role is immediately available and is offered up to January 31st 2026 and will see you working with a close knit professional workforce with a major focus on working as a team and helping other people whenever you can.

Before the role can commence candidates would be required to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test and provide a national police check.
