About the role

Hawkins Industrial Contracting is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Fitter (Mechanic) to join our team in Far Western, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of light vehicles serving the Mining, Resources & Energy industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting scheduled maintenance and inspections on light vehicles
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and breakdowns
  • Performing general servicing, repairs, and modifications
  • Maintaining detailed records of work completed
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and adheres to safety protocols
  • Assisting with the management of the workshop and inventory of parts

What we're looking for

  • Relevant trade qualifications in Light Vehicle Mechanics or Auto Electrician
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Light Vehicle Fitter/Mechanic
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current driver's licence and own reliable transport
