ABOUT THE ROLE

The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of transport operations, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational standards. This role supports the Transport Manager in delivering efficient, safe, and cost-effective logistics services while providing leadership and guidance to the Transport Lead and frontline teams.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate daily transport activities across all scopes and locations.
• Support the Transport Manager in implementing operational plans and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and NHVR regulations.
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and field safety checks.
• Monitor and manage driver rosters, shift coverage, and overtime.
• Liaise with the Transport Lead to ensure alignment with logistics schedules and client requirements.
• Escalate operational issues and assist in resolving delays or inefficiencies.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, work hours, and compliance documentation.
• Support the implementation of Management of Change (MOC) processes.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to drivers and field staff.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a point of contact for site-based issues and client interactions when required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years' experience in transport or logistics operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of CoR, NHVR, and site safety requirements.
• Experience in oil and gas, mining, or remote logistics environments (preferred).
• Competency in using transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Trainer/Assessor Certificate III or higher (desirable).
• Current driver's licence (HR or MC preferred).
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including day and night operations.
