Your Role
Installation & Setup (Primary Focus)
- Assist in the installation and configuration of machine control systems on heavy equipment.
- Learn to read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and calibration procedures.
- Work alongside senior technicians to troubleshoot and test system functionality.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and ensure proper Job Safety Analysis (JSA) compliance.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-level technical support to customers under guidance from senior team members.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues.
- Document common issues and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.
Customer Training & Assistance
- Learn to explain machine control functionality to customers.
- Assist in on-site operator training.
- Develop strong communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to end-users.
Inventory & Administration
- Assist in managing machine control system stock and spare parts.
- Maintain installation records, system configurations, and customer support logs.
What We're Looking For
Passion for machine control, GNSS, surveying, or construction technology.
Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to learn electronic and mechanical systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work on-site (travel required).
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Valid driver's licence (required for fieldwork).
Qualifications & Experience
It is essential that you have a relevant qualification to get you started in this role.
Any background in electrical, mechanical, or automation technology is a plus

Certificate IV in Surveying and Spatial Information Services
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control
