Commercial Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and commercially minded Commercial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team at our Indented Head Office in Victoria. This role suits a passionate and self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to the financial success and strategic direction of the business. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering insightful financial analysis, supporting decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across our commercial operations at Jade Tiger Abalone.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse key commercial metrics, including sales performance, profitability, and cost structures.
• Work with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and risk management.
• Conducts analysis on financial and other performance data against budgets and provides feedback to the CFO and General Manager – JTA.
• Collaborate with the sales, marketing, operations and finance teams to ensure alignment on commercial goals for the rendering & protein business unit.
• Provide insights and recommendations to internal teams to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure that production planning aligns with financial budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor production schedules, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated to meet business demands.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic business decisions.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Finance related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a commercial, financial, or business management role preferably in agribusiness, FMCG, or manufacturing.
• Strong financial acumen with expertise in pricing, profitability analysis, and cost management.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
