Platypus Graphics trading as Platypus Print Packaging is approaching its 40th year in business. Evolving over several decades in our print offering, we are Queensland largest folding carton manufacturer. An exciting opportunity exists to join our sustainable fibre-base packaging company in the Print Finishing department as a Diecut Operator. This is an exciting time to join our business as we are in a growth phase with several new machines due to be comissioned shortly.

About the role

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will deliver high quality Print Finishing in an efficient manner.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • perform pre-make readies
  • setting up and running platen diecutters & embellishing equipment
  • stripping and blanking units
  • follow work ticket instructions
  • assist with our regular maintenance program

The ideal applicant will possess the following:

Trade experience in the print/packaing industry.

High attention to detail with the ability to think proactively.

Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels.

High problem-solving proficiency.

Respect for the well being of others and a concern for safety.

Flexible with shift work.
