JC Signs is small family run, well established business with over 50 years of experience in the printing and signage industry. We are a one-stop-shop for our clients, from design to manufacture and installation.  We produce and manufacture in-house with a strong focus on quality and customer service.

About The Role

We're seeking a skilled and motivated signage production professional to join the team. This role suits someone with hands-on experience in digital print production and signage assembly, with a strong understanding of workflow, quality control, and attention to detail.

You'll be involved in the end-to-end production of signage across multiple formats.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in signage production and print workflows
  • Competency with large-format print equipment and cutters
  • Skilled in vinyl application, laminating and sign assembly
  • Comfortable with tools and hands-on work
  • A reliable team player with good time management and communication skills and strong desire to get things done, focused and up for a challenge
  • Know your way around Adobe Illustrator

Required Skills & Experience

  • Design experience for Signage, General Print and Vehicle Wraps
  • Current driver's license.
  • Ability to talk with customers
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines.
  • Experience with large format digital printing and the signage industry will be highly regarded
  • Proven experience with vinyl wrap installation and sign fabrication
  • Competent with cutting software, plotting, and finishing processes
  • Physically capable (manual handling, ladders, and occasional scaffolding)
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail with pride in workmanship
  • Excellent time management, especially on-site
  • Sign industry experience: 3 years (Required)

Main Duties

  • Operating signage production equipment such as printers, cutting plotters and laminator
  • Apply vinyl and laminate graphics to various substrates, weeding, mounting & prepping signs
  • Assist with general workshop production tasks and equipment upkeep
  • Support installation team as required
  • Occasional onsite installs
  • Design, print setup and plotting using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, CAD and large-format printers
  • Vinyl application to vehicles, windows, walls, and facades
  • Stripping and reassembling vehicle trims and body panels for install access
  • Shopfront and fascia signage
  • Surface prep and cleaning pre-installation
  • General workshop upkeep and safe work practices

The position is full-time, and the hourly rate will be negotiated based upon experience and skill-set.
