About the Opportunity
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Service at Liverpool Hospital is a modern, specialised service that uses minimally invasive image guided techniques to diagnose and treat patients. IR Services include General IR and Neurointerventional Radiology (NI) and supports Vascular Surgery in Vascular IR. It is a clinically integrated service with outpatient procedural lists, inpatient management and 24-hour emergent care.
The field of IR is rapidly evolving with innovative treatments available to local patients providing low risk favourable outcomes. This diverse range of treatments along with the growing multi-cultural population of South Western Sydney is resulting in a rapidly growing case load. Through the SWSLHD redevelopment project, IR has installed new state-of-the-art equipment to support these emerging treatments and provide a leading Interventional service to our patients. We currently operate Monday to Friday with 24/7 on call.
As an Administrative Officer in Interventional Radiology, you will be responsible for patient reception and clerical services. Tasks include patient scheduling in Cerner eMR and the Karisma Radiology Information System, providing procedure and appointment details for procedures as instructed, updating the Interventional Radiology bookings calendar, accurate processing of revenue, financial classification data and other hospital regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate has prior health care environment experience, with demonstrated excellent computer literacy and communication skills. Radiology experience is highly advantageous.

As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

- High level of experience in patient reception and clerical services. Radiology experience highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated effective administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail, and excellent computer and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be multi-skilled and adapt to a changing work environment, and ability to perform under pressure.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality, and the need for accuracy in all documentation.
