About the Role

Commercial Accounting Co. is expanding, and we're looking for a motivated and detail-driven Bookkeeper to join our team in Toowoomba. You'll work with a varied portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses across multiple industries, helping them stay compliant, informed, and confident in their financial position.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial records for a range of clients
  • Processing invoices, receipts, payments and payroll
  • Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Preparing financial reports and supporting documents for management accountants
  • Assisting with BAS and tax preparation workflows
  • Providing day-to-day administrative and client support
  • Building strong relationships with clients and helping them understand their financial position
  • Spotting opportunities to streamline processes and improve client outcomes

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in and is passionate about producing high-quality work and enjoys supporting clients in their business journey.

You'll ideally have:

  • A bookkeeping or accounting qualification (e.g. Cert IV Bookkeeping/Accounting) – preferred but not essential
  • 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting support or a similar role
  • Experience using MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks
  • Payroll processing experience – preferred but not essential
  • Strong numerical accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
  • A problem solving mindset, and the drive to get things right
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • A proactive, organised approach to managing deadlines
