The Role:

• Review and finalise financial statements and tax returns for a wide range of entities (companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs, and sole traders)
• Manage complex tax matters, including Div 7A, CGT, FBT, and restructuring strategies
• Provide proactive business and tax advisory services, delivering insights to help clients achieve their goals - act as a primary contact for a portfolio of clients
• Review, delegate, and provide feedback on work prepared by junior and intermediate accountants (if senior)
• Mentor and support team members in their technical and professional development
• Prepare and present management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts with actionable recommendations
• Play an active role in business development by contributing to proposals, networking, and expanding client relationships

A Little Bit About You:

To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you should have:

• 2–5+ years' experience in Business Services / Tax within public practice
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation law, compliance, and accounting standards
• Experience preparing financial statements, tax returns (companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals) and BAS/IAS
• Exposure to CGT, FBT, Div 7A and small business tax concessions (advantageous)
• Solid understanding of business structuring and tax planning (advantageous)
• Previous work with regional/agriculture, hospitality, property or construction clients (a plus, but not essential
