About Role

The Skin Lab is expanding digital and retail operations following a period of significant business growth. As the company continues to scale both its in-clinic services and eCommerce skincare division, there is a growing need for a dedicated Marketing Specialist to manage strategy, analytics, and online customer engagement across multiple platforms.

This role focuses on developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, optimise customer experience, and support business growth through digital channels.

The Marketing Specialist will lead initiatives that connect clinical and retail audiences, build long-term customer relationships, and expand The Skin Lab's online presence locally and internationally.

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement marketing plans, strategies and programs to promote The Skin Lab's skincare products, cosmetic treatments, and loyalty programs.
  • Manage digital marketing activities including social media, Google Ads, email automation, and website content updates.
  • Analyse Shopify, Google Analytics, Meta performance reports to identify trends, opportunities, and ROI improvements.
  • Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and landing pages that reflect our brand values and tone of voice.
  • Collaborate with clinical and retail teams to ensure campaigns align with business goals and seasonal promotions.
  • Develop and oversee future international expansion strategies, including go-to-market planning for overseas customers and cross-border eCommerce and marketplaces.
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots for new product launches and clinic campaigns.
  • Manage CRM automation and customer retention programs through HubSpot.
  • Conduct competitor and market research to inform pricing, positioning, and product strategy.
  • Prepare monthly marketing performance reports and present key insights to management.
  • Work with suppliers, creative contractors, and influencers to expand brand visibility and build strong partnerships.

Qualifications and Experiences

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing, brand strategy, or eCommerce.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including paid media, CRM automation, and content marketing.
  • Experience working with Shopify, HubSpot, Google Ads, and Meta Business Suite to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Strong creative and analytical skills, with the ability to balance aesthetics, performance, and storytelling.
  • Demonstrated success in developing strategies for online sales growth, including expansion to marketplaces and new audience segments.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
  • Ability to translate technical or product information into visually engaging and emotionally resonant brand messages.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to the health, beauty, or wellness sectors (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience in cross-border eCommerce, export marketing, or marketplace strategy development.
  • Knowledge of SEO, UX principles, and marketing compliance in the Australian context.
  • Passion for innovation, aesthetics, and creating meaningful customer experiences.
  • Experience working with Canva, Klaviyo.
