Position: Junior Accounts Assistant
Location: Sydney
Department: Finance | Reports to: Finance Manager – Australia

Are you looking to launch your career in accounting and finance with a market leading global insurance company? Our client is hiring a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic Finance team based in Sydney.

What You'll Be Doing

This role supports the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Key tasks include:

  • Processing accounts payable: invoice entry, approvals, and payments

  • Managing credit card expense entries and reconciliations

  • Monitoring and replying to emails in the Finance inbox

  • Recording EFT receipts and reconciling payments

  • Assisting with month-end processes and reporting

  • Supporting general finance and admin tasks as required


What We're Looking For

This is an entry-level role, so we're looking for someone who's eager to learn and grow. Ideally, you will have:

  • A degree (or working towards one) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good time management and organisational skills

  • A proactive and team-oriented attitude

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (bonus points)
