The Role
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated
HSE & Compliance Advisor
to support our operations across the
Oceania region
. This role is pivotal in driving our safety-first culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering continuous improvement across our sites.

You'll work closely with operational teams, site managers, and regional leadership to embed best practices in health, safety, environment, and compliance. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and is passionate about making a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Lead monthly and annual HSE reporting across Oceania.
  • Develop and implement regional compliance programs and policies.
  • Present insights and updates at Oceania Strategic Safety Committee meetings.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Support the development of the Oceania HSE Management System aligned with ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Administer CHEMWATCH and coordinate training needs analysis.
  • Maintain and deliver toolbox talks and safety communications.
  • Liaise with government regulators and ensure full compliance with HSE legislation.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Maintain and monitor the regional compliance register.
  • Facilitate regulator reporting and mandatory training programs.
  • Stay abreast of evolving legislation and industry standards.
  • Investigate and implement changes required by new regulatory requirements.

Cost, Efficiency & Sustainability

  • Track HSE initiative spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support sustainability goals through efficient safety practices.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Champion HSE programs that foster a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Engage with frontline teams to identify development priorities.
  • Ensure alignment with internal policies and legal obligations.

What You'll Bring
Skills & Competencies

  • Strong operational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead with purpose and collaborate across teams.
  • High resilience, adaptability, and influencing capability.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years in a similar HSE or compliance role.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial operations.
  • Solid understanding of HSE legislation and management systems.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (WHS).
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent).
  • ISO45001 and ISO14001 auditing qualifications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across Oceania (approx. 20–30%).
