About The Role
The role is fixed term fulltime for 12 months
The Roadwork Permits Officer is responsible for processing of requests to access the road network (Memorandum of Authorisation (MOA) applications), including assessments within the predefine timeframes and standards, considering the planned events scheduled within the transport network and impact of individual and cumulative requests of road access. This role is required to provide advice and work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, including transport operators, project agencies, government departments and a varied range of functional divisions in the analyse the impact of planned disruption events.
In This Role You Will:
- Exercise professional judgement to provide traffic and transport management advice to stakeholders, keeping within established traffic engineering practice, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Assess the impact of planned disruptions and recommended actions to mitigate those impacts.
- Develop and prepared the necessary paperwork and regulatory requirements associated with the roadwork permit approval process.
- Exercise independent judgement to provide timely responses to customer enquiries and roadwork permit applications.
- Establish and maintained strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

Qualifications And Experience
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Civil/Transport engineering or relevant experience (Desired).
Other Position-specific Requirements
May involve evening or weekend work including occasional overnight travel
You may be required to undertake a medical and other safety compliance requirement
