Bis are now currently recruiting for a Workshop Coordinator to join our team, based out of our Tomago Office. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Workshop Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the repair and maintenance of our underground mobile plant and equipment in the workshop. This is achieved by actively promoting and embedding a positive safety culture and demonstrating a commitment to Zero Harm, whilst assisting the Workshop Manager in driving the business to deliver maximum financial returns and meet overall budget forecasts.
The Workshop Coordinator role comprises of a variety of duties including but not limited to; conducting daily pre-start meetings, performing workshop inspections as required, providing safety advice and on the job management for all workshop personnel, collecting and loading EOM statistics, and performing final cost reviews, all while building and fostering partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities for this role include**:
- Demonstrate commitment to our goal of Zero Harm.
- Provide effective leadership, direction, advice, and support to the team, as required, promoting teamwork to accomplish the Business Units goals.
- Run daily pre-start meetings.
- Complete workshop inspections.
- Parts ordering control for initial project starts and major projects.
- Track and review labour/parts costs versus budget.
- Assist with quoting new projects and final cost review of jobs.
- Perform any other general ad-hoc tasks as required.
**The successful applicant will possess**:
- Trade Qualification (or equivalent) in a large-scale heavy industry leading different team of tradespersons.
- Extensive experience in the management and maintenance of underground diesel equipment.
- Well-developed business acumen, critical thinking skills, and excellent understanding of operational and financial impacts.
- High level leadership skills - including the ability to coach, mentor, motivate and influence.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and initiative
- Advanced MS Office suite skills
- Excellent organisation skills including the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities;
