Reporting directly to the Director, you'll take full ownership of the design process for custom-manufactured products—shaping everything from conceptual 3D models to polished, production-ready drawings and client-facing presentations.

You'll be the key driver of the graphics and design workflow, working hand-in-hand with the production crew to turn ideas into reality. At times you'll need to lead from the front—setting direction, guiding others, and making confident calls. Other times you'll need to roll up your sleeves, work independently, and push projects forward under your own steam.

This role demands creativity, technical precision, and the flexibility to either lead a team or deliver solo with equal confidence.

What You'll Do

• SolidWorks 2025 Mastery: If you're afraid of advanced features or surface modeling, this might not be your gig. We need bold innovators who love tinkering with complex assemblies.
• Concept & Presentation: Dream up compelling designs for proposals, then wow clients with sleek, polished presentations.
• 3D Printing: Work with various materials to prototype and perfect designs (because one material simply isn't enough).
• Production Drawings: Translate concepts into precise manufacturing data, ensuring zero guesswork on the shop floor.
• Sheet Metal Fabrication & FEA: Got experience with flattening, bending, and analyzing metal structures? Even better.
• Costing & PDM: Seamlessly integrate cost considerations and product data management into your designs.
• Quick 3D Illustrations: Snap your fingers—well, almost—and produce visuals that tell a story and sell an idea.

2D Design Applications

• CorelDRAW: Advanced vector work, vinyl graphics plotting, and crisp 2D renderings are just another day in the office for you.
• Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat): Strong technical knowledge—advanced tools like clipping masks, smart objects, and complex file prep are second nature.
• Collateral Creation: From shop drawings to brochures and web listings, your creative edge will help us stand out in a crowded market.

• Industrial Design Background: Tertiary qualification (or proven equivalent experience) in managing and delivering design projects.
• MS Office Proficiency: Comfortable with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to support project tracking and reporting.
• Communication Skills: Clear and confident across verbal, written, and presentation formats—you can explain, document, and showcase your work with ease.
• Independent & Team Player: Equally capable of leading a task solo or collaborating within a team to get projects delivered.
• Organisational Strength: Able to juggle shifting priorities and multiple projects without losing focus or momentum.
