About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and general financial support. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process, verify, and reconcile supplier invoices and statements.
  • Maintain accurate creditor and debtor records.
  • Process payments, receipt funds, and resolve queries.
  • Weekly and month-end bank reconciliations.
  • Provide documentation for audits.

Payroll

  • Process weekly payroll and maintain wage/time records.
  • Manage PAYGW, Payroll Tax, RTWSA, Superannuation, and year-end lodgements.

Cost & Inventory Control

  • Prepare daily Bills of Materials.
  • Review cost variances and support cost efficiency improvements.

Other Duties

  • Pallet account reconciliation.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and credit card reconciliations.
  • Reconcile freight/logistics accounts.
  • Assist with budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting.
  • Support compliance with GST, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, and internal controls.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance.
  • 5+ years experience
  • Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Business Central, Employment Hero) and Excel.
