Join Our Small Family NDIS Provider as a Casual Support Worker

We are looking to grow our team of energetic, caring and competent support workers helping our participants live a fuller life here on the Sunshine Coast. We currently service kids and teens with a variety of care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist participants with engaging in community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to individuals with psychosocial needs, ASD, and a history of trauma.
  • Monitor and assess client progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date care notes in accordance with organisational standards.
  • Prepare meals.
  • Where needed, assist with personal hygiene (toileting/showering).
  • Provide domestic assistance (cleaning/tidying).
  • Assist participants displaying complex behaviours by following their specific Positive Behaviour Support Plan.
  • Assist with medication management and administration.

Things we value:

  • A strong work ethic and reliability (including references).
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours.
  • Experience supporting individuals with psychosocial disabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and record keeping skills.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support is preferred
  • Australian Driver's License.
  • First Aid Certificate. (Advantageous)
  • CPR certification. (Advantageous)
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (Yellow Card).
  • Reliable smartphone .
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
