About the role

Equity Works Assoc. Inc. is seeking experienced and compassionate Casual Support Workers to join our team.   We have positions across multiple locations across the Sunshine Coast; at Yandina House (a purpose-built STA house), joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, and supporting participation in the community.  We are looking for people with availability to suit 25+ hours a week, up to full-time hours.  We have clients waiting to meet new male and female staff to support their goals of personal growth, independence, and inclusion. We support children and adults.

What you'll be doing

  • Support people with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities in a caring and respectful way
  • Help with everyday tasks like personal care, cooking, and cleaning
  • Assist clients in getting out and about — going to appointments, social events, and activities
  • Follow personalised support plans to help clients reach their goals
  • Keep clear and accurate records as required
  • Work closely with families, carers, and other services to provide smooth and consistent care

What we're looking for

  • A qualification in disability support, community services, or a similar area
  • Experience working with people with disability
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
  • A genuine passion for helping others and supporting independence
  • Willingness to work flexible hours — including sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable car
