Council has an opportunity for a dynamic, creative and motivated Arts & Cultural Development Officer to join the Creative Services Team.

The Creative Services Team are passionate, energetic and have a positive, pro-active team culture focused on delivering venues, activations, creative events, cultural development and public art.

This role will identify, develop, and produce innovative and accessible programs that support artists and facilitate audience engagement. This position also coordinates Council's Public Art commissions and will assist in the delivery of the Public Art Strategy.

Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic advocate for arts and culture, great team player, and must have significant and broad experience in the delivery of arts events and programs.

We are looking for someone who is an innovative self-starter with excellent programming/community-engagement skills to plan, coordinate and evaluate projects from conception to delivery, a strong knowledge of the sector, audience development and cultural development principles.

  • Temporary part time, 30 hours per week up to March 2026
  • Commencing salary range from $1, $1,487.19 per week pro rata (based on qualifications, skills and experience)
