Job Description
As Head of Human Resources and Training, you will lead the delivery of people and training strategies across the Adecco-DFR partnership. You will provide strategic advice to the Managing Director and leadership team, oversee HR operations & business partnering, and ensure compliance with Defence and contractual requirements. You will drive workforce capability, manage a high-performing team, and ensure tailored training is developed and delivered for both Adecco and Defence personnel. Your work will directly influence organisational performance, culture, and strategic alignment across the DFR environment.
You will:
- Act as the key people partner to the Managing Director, providing strategic counsel on organisational design, workforce strategy, and leadership capability to enable enterprise goals.
- Partner with Heads of Function (HoFs) to align people and culture initiatives with business priorities, co-designing solutions that drive performance, engagement, and operational excellence.
- Lead the People & Culture strategy, ensuring it reflects organisational values, future workforce needs, and enterprise growth objectives.
- Embed behavioural competencies across the employee lifecycle to build a consistent, high-performance, values-led culture.
- Oversee all aspects of HR delivery, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, succession, and compliance.
- Drive the Learning & Development agenda and elevate leadership capability across the organisation, embedding coaching and growth mindsets.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, leading enterprise programs such as Indigenous participation, gender equity, and veteran employment.
- Use workforce analytics and insights to inform strategic decisions and track the impact of people initiatives.
- Lead a high-performing HR and Training function, building internal capability and ensuring scalable, consistent delivery.
- Represent the people voice in enterprise change, transformation, and cultural initiatives, ensuring people impact is prioritised.

Your background will demonstrate:
- Proven success managing a HR Business Partner (HRBP) function
- Strong background in delivering HR services and training in corporate and/or public sector settings
- Broad expertise across all HR functions including employee relations, change management, diversity & inclusion, compensation & benefits, organisational development, and training
- Exceptional leadership, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Collaborative approach with a solutions-focused mindset
- Resilient, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Excellent communication, consulting, coaching, and presentation skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management or related field
