As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping Xero's analytical data environment Within specialized streams, you'll focus on building and enhancing core data platform services, including data movement, transformation, discovery, observability, data consumption, and governance in order to enable teams to develop robust, scalable data products. You'll also contribute to the platform to ensure governance, monitoring, and compliance
What you'll do Design and implement efficient and robust data pipelines using tools like Fivetran, dbt,Prefect. Build and implement real-time data pipelines with Kafka. Optimize analytics,data models, performance, and cost in snowflake Orchestrate containerized applications efficiently using Kubernetes. Implement data observability and active monitoring of the platforms to proactively identify and resolve issues. Craft cutting-edge data pipelines and automation using Python,sql,dbt and/or other programming or scripting languages. Deploy and scale infrastructure effortlessly with Terraform's IaC approach. Navigate AWS to deliver scalable and secure data solutions in a dynamic cloud environment. Design and developing RESTful APIs for data access and integration. Build self-serve data platforms that enable data consumers to access and use data Apply core engineering practices like CI/CD, automation deployments, testing. Drive real-time data insights with Kafka's streaming and event processing capabilities. Support and maintain the systems we built.
