OBJECTIVE
To coach the East Fremantle football team and set a standard of excellence in line with the EFFC strategic plan & values.
KEY FOCUS FOR THIS POSITION
Plan, Prepare, Execute and Review the WAFLW Football Program.
Lead the Coaching and Culture of the WAFLW list to create a competitive and successful WAFLW program.
Develop close working relationships with all coaches, support staff and volunteers.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
POSITION REPORTS TO: EFFC WAFLW - Football Operations Manager
DEPARTMENT: Football Operations
DIRECT REPORTS: Senior Coaches & Development Coaches

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
THE CLUB
Work in collaboration with EFFC staff, directors and volunteers at all times to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes and in line with the club's values.
Act always as an ambassador of the East Fremantle Football Club.
CULTURE & VALUES
Build and maintain strong relationships with the playing list through providing a positive environment that supports the individual and their welfare but challenges poor behaviour and decisions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Staff, Support staff, volunteers and the Board.
Lead and drive the club values and the on-field values (Connection, Unity, Respect & Ambition) of the football department and team.
Communicate to players, staff, members and supporters in a respectful way in line with our values.
STRATEGY AND PLANNING
Oversee Pre-Season and In-Season training programs to develop the Senior list in terms of: Skills, Conditioning, Game Style, Structure and Individual Player Development.
Evaluate Opposition teams and their players strengths and weaknesses, plan and execute through vision and training any necessary strategies that provide the best chance to win.
REVIEW
Perform Match Reviews that recognise areas that are performed well and areas of improvement and provide feedback for both the team and individuals.
Conduct bi-yearly Individual Reviews with the Senior playing list.
Support with review of coaching and support staff, ensuring they are educated, developed and perform in a manner consistent with the Senior coach's and club's standards and philosophies.
Contribute to all Football Affairs requirements, including, but not limited to; Undertake an assessment of the Senior list, understand the Talent coming through the club's talent pathway and develop a recruitment plan that provides the best opportunity for on-field success.
Meetings as required which review "where we are at" and forward plan "where we want to be".
TALENT
Provide support and direction to the Talent pathway, including coaching development, transition of players from Roger's Cup to Senior football and Talent ID.
Provide Key Focus Areas to all coaches in terms of game style philosophies and Individual Player Development focuses.
Provide opportunities for all Talent Coaching staff to attend training, match day box experiences (where possible) or conduct individual development feedback.
STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS
Build & maintain healthy, respectful partnerships with.
o Board, CEO, Football Operations Managers, Players, Staff & Volunteers.
o Club Sponsors and supporters.
o Mass Media Outlets.
o WA Football.
o AFLW Recruiting managers and staff.
o Parents and families of players.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
ACCREDITATION: Minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation, aspiring to Level 3.
EXPERIENCE: Recent Coaching experience, preferably a Head Coach with control of their own program.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
General knowledge of the football industry and the various stakeholders
COMPUTER LITERATE:
Advance knowledge of Access, Word, Excel, Explorer, Outlook, PowerPoint and their Apple equivalents. Experience with Hudl preferred.
EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION:
Ability to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media, in a manner that engages the audience and ensures comprehension of the message.

Ensuring stakeholders and clients are always properly serviced.

Willingness to contribute to the team and to work effectively and cooperatively with other team members, in order to achieve team and organisational goals.

Ability to identify priorities, issues, and potential problems by integrating information different sources and drawing logical inferences and valid interpretations from the data.

Ability to make carefully weighted decisions and take actions based on the information available, taking situational constraints into account.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Ability to recognise a problem, identify possible causes, generate alternative solutions and select the most appropriate course of action giving full consideration to all factors (including potential conflict resolution scenarios with parents and stakeholders).
