The South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury which provides a variety of health services to Aboriginal people in the South West of Western Australia. SWAMS delivers a wide range of primary health and community programs and has a strong growth strategy through partnership opportunities and future community development.

About you
Are you someone passionate about creating positive impact in the lives of our community members and advocating change? Do you have experience in working with and advocating for people with disability? This may be your next step
Selection Criteria
- Aboriginality would be advantageous for this role but not essential
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain – paid for by SWAMS)
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain – Paid for by SWAMS)
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain – paid for by SWAMS)
- Demonstrated experience in advocating and supporting others to reach goals or outcomes
- Ability to prioritise tasks and follow up, particularly in busy environments
- Strong understanding of, and experience working in disability services, in particular NDIS services
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and groups to achieve positive outcomes for them
