Our client is a market leader in the distribution and supply of non-alcoholic beverages across Australian and New Zealand. They pride themselves on being at the forefront of customer service excellence and providing valued offerings to our customers. They sell to foodservice clientele such as restaurants, pubs, clubs, cafes, hotel & schools in addition to food retailers such as petrol and convenience stores and independent supermarkets. In business for over 30+ years, they have over 10,000+ different products covering the following segments:

  • Energy Drinks
  • Kombucha
  • Flavoured Milks
  • Iced Tea
  • Juices
  • Sports Drinks
  • Water & Sparkling Water
  • Children's drinks
  • Carbonated drinks (soft drinks)

They have an incredibly diverse customer base with over 2,000 accounts in the Central Coast / Newcastle Hunter Region (and growing). Their customer-centric business model has allowed them to retain a large majority of their accounts over the years, notwithstanding strong quality control with a new product dev. team focused on finding and delivering the best possible food & beverage products to clients all across New South Wales.

OPPORTUNITY

The Territory Manager role is responsible for developing and maintaining a sustainable and profitable customer base whilst adding value through food & beverage solutions to a broad range of customer segments and working within a company that prides itself on strong values. Your key indicators of success will stem from your experience within the FMCG industry, a strong sales process, effective time management, and sound commercial acumen.

The role will take on a hybrid responsibility in servicing foodservice accounts and food retailers. With the support of the customer service, this exciting role will allow you to cross-sell, cross-promote & upsell from a wide range of products. The ability to work with all departments of our business across customer experience, purchasing, operations, and finance who provide support for your sales targets. You are required to possess a 'can do' attitude to ensure high levels of motivation in delivering exceptional customer service which enables strategic development of 'new business' and solid business continuity for existing customers.

  • Oversee, maintain, and develop the existing Retail and Foodservice within the territory area
  • Develop & nurture the relationships with Restaurants, Pubs, Clubs, Hospitals (among many other clientele)
  • Review daily sales reports to manage and coordinate work activity
  • Develop a daily/weekly/monthly call list and maintain information accuracy via the customer calling cards
  • Work closely with the specialists (suppliers/line managers/procurement) on account presentations and penetration
  • To develop a target list of new customer development (pipeline) with your manager's support
  • Review monthly sales reporting with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met (KPI's)
  • Communicate and manage trends/pricing & profitability models to ensure successful outcomes
  • Participate in all sales/marketing functions as they relate to company business objectives and focuses
  • To promote a positive attitude within the company
  • A strong desire to meet company goals and objectives

CANDIDATE

To be considered for this role b2b (business to business) sales experience is essential.
We're happy to consider anyone living in Newcastle, that has prior outbound B2B sales experience, particularly selling to business around Newcastle (ideally while out on the road).
