We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Metering & Billing Officer to join our M&SB team in King William Street, Adelaide SA, on fixed term contact for 6 months.

Reporting to a Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive accurate gas meter readings, analysing data, responding to inquiries and managing daily work allocated to yourself. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, check and instigate follow up meter readings to ensure accurate charging to Retailers
  • Answer and attend to Retailers inquiries for metering accuracy and other related inquiries concerning metering and haulage
  • Process and update Retailer information and reports
  • Enter meter read details, e.g. On-cycle & Special Reads
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to obtain relevant information

About You

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a responsible manner to ensure meter details and readings are recorded and billed accurately
  • Proven ability to identify and prioritise workloads to ensure daily schedules are completed on time
  • Able to identify and prioritise critical work issues as they may occur
  • Effective team player and communicator
  • Strong attention to detail and numeracy

About the Team

Networks manages and operates local distribution networks and transmission pipelines that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia. 

This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics.  Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.  We need people who are courageous, nimble and ready to make a positive impact.
