Join ElectraNet and take a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and performance of South Australia's revenue metering assets, a critical function that underpins market operations, network charges, and regulatory performance in the National Electricity Market (NEM).
As Senior Asset Engineer Metering, you will operate with autonomy and influence, collaborating with key industry stakeholders including AEMO, Metering Providers, Metering Data Providers and service partners to ensure metering systems are managed to the highest standards. Your expertise will help shape the future performance and resilience of our network as we continue to energise South Australia's clean energy future. You will be also responsible for managing the monitoring assets such as Power Quality Monitors (PQMs), Disturbance Fault Recorder (DFR), and Travelling Wave Fault Locaters (TWFL).
What You'll Do
- Design, specify and technically assure new revenue metering and monitoring installations, including audit and acceptance review activities
- Support and oversee installation, commissioning, maintenance and performance investigations of metering and monitoring systems and data integrity issues
- Ensure compliance with AEMO requirements and the National Electricity Rules through effective governance, reporting and exemption management
- Manage metering and monitoring-related projects and provide technical leadership to improve long-term asset performance and reduce risk
- Act as a key liaison across ElectraNet and external stakeholders to build strong networks and support excellence in metering and monitoring operations
You are a technically strong and proactive electrical engineer who takes ownership of performance outcomes. You bring:
- Advanced knowledge of metering and monitoring systems, secondary systems design and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong skills in problem solving, auditing, data integrity, and operational decision making
- Experience managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders

Essential: Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Eligibility for Engineers Australia membership.
