We have an exciting opportunity for a Line 1 Credit Manager to join Heartland Bank Australia Limited based in either Melbourne or Brisbane, Australia.

You will own the credit process from start to finish—partnering with relationship managers, structuring financial solutions, and making risk-aware recommendations. This is a hands-on role where your expertise directly shapes business and portfolio growth.

You're a Pro With

  • Experience in Operational risk and/or compliance within the banking or financial sectors.
  • Knowledge of key regulatory obligations in the financial sector.
  • Experience in Line 1 or Line 2 risk roles, with competency in Risk and control assessments, control testing, and incident management.
  • Designing and executing assurance and control testing programs while navigating regulatory frameworks and internal governance.
  • Exceptional communication both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders

Qualifications/Certification

  • Tertiary qualification in a business discipline (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting Agri clients with tailored financial solutions
  • Extensive experience in credit roles, especially in agricultural finance
