ILG is the largest liquor co-operative in Australia and has been serving the industry since 1975. We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and driven BDE to be part of our Sales team and take on an active role within a dynamic organization.

Position Description:

As our BDE you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and developing new membership opportunities, building relationships with existing members, and ultimately increasing our sales revenue, volume and market share for ILG.

Your role will be busy, and you will be challenged each day with a host of detailed duties.

§     The primary responsibility is to strengthen our organization's member base, through continually nurturing relationships with existing clients while bringing new members to the ILG family.

§     Manage the strategic growth, commercial account membership and stakeholder relationships externally and internally.

§     Escalating and resolving areas of concern as raised by members, managing expectations and resolving potential problems.

§     Carrying out member satisfaction surveys and reviews on a regular basis.

§     Drafting and proposing growth strategies in consultation and alignment with the senior executive management team.

§     Cultivating relationships with stakeholders in relevant industries and markets, and with existing members.

§     Increasing the client base through attending networking events, researching prospects, cold-calling potential new members, following up on incoming leads and generating leads for the greater sales team to ensure sustained growth across all locations and regions.

§     Collaborating with various internal teams to ensure business development strategies are executed.

§     Writing business proposals in conjunction with your manager for new members.

§     Involvement in the negotiating, drafting and reviewing existing and new member contracts.

§     Manage location, region or territory of up to 50 or more existing member accounts at any given time to meet KPI objectives.

About You:

·      Previous sales experience in FMCG or in the Liquor Industry - Is preferred.

·      Minimum 5 years of experience as a BDE, building and maintaining strong member relationships.

  • Proven track record of exceeding targets through a structured data-based plan.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, strong planning and negotiation skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills are a must.
  • Ability to show initiative and able to proceed without being told every detail.
  • Ability to work as a team player as well as autonomously.
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels from members, suppliers through to management and staff.
  • Willingness to learn and take up new challenges.

·     Strong computer skills and experience with various technology.

  • Effective stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organization.
  • Critical thinking with the ability to understand and analyze problems and find solutions.
  • Problems solving and decision-making skills are a must along with documentation and writing skills.
