Mechanical Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Engine Maintenance Assistant who has a natural commitment to quality and who aspires to become a highly skilled engine assembly technician. Key Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, clean, and paint Lycoming and Continental Piston Aircraft Engines/parts and associated components.
• Maintain workshop tooling in accordance with working specifications and conditions.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping.
• Execute work in line with quality procedures and safety requirements.
• Identify and report hazards promptly.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience in a mechanical trade, spray painting or machining is advantageous.
• Various employment opportunities exist within the workshop, with remuneration and progression based on the candidates' mechanical and engineering skills.

Essential Requirements:

• Ability to work autonomously, efficiently and always maintaining a commitment to quality and safety.
• A current valid driver's license (manual preferred).
• Capability to perform in a physically demanding role.
• Sound written and verbal communication skills.
• Adherence to Safe Work Procedures and Company Policies.
• Regulatory requirement for successful completion of Pre-Employment and ongoing Drug and Alcohol Screens.
• Must hold any valid work visa to work in Australia.
