ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a 7:7 roster, rotating day and night shift roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.

As the Technician Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical components across a range of stationary assets such as crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and processing systems.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Carry out inspections, repairs and installations on crushers, conveyors, pumps and processing systems
  • Execute scheduled work orders and record accurate maintenance history in SAP
  • Identify faults and provide input into root cause analysis and reliability improvements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and maximise production

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Working in a Fixed Plant mining or heavy industrial environment
  • Fault finding and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
  • Teamwork and collaboration with operations and engineering teams
  • Strong safety focus and commitment to site standards

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade certificate (Cert III in Mechanical Engineering - Fitter)
  • C class manual driver's license
