Qualifications & experience
- 3+ years baking experience desirable.
- 2+ years of Management experience, with a strong track record of leadership of large teams, including setting example of good culture, and positive employee relations.
- Food manufacturing experience desirable.
- Trade qualification desirable.
- Working with yeast raise products.
- Fast paced environment.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Full accountability for achievement of volumes and production efficiency targets.
- Oversight of all safety programs on site, whilst assisting in development of further programs.
- Setting production schedules, managing changes and ensuring productivity improvements where possible.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the mixing of doughs, sheeting, cutting and frying with the team. It is also the production managers responsibility to ensure the quality of the goods being used is up to par and make note of when supplies are running low so that an order can be made.
- Assisting the Cream and Filling Team when necessary.
- Assisting the Dispatch Team regarding planning of deliveries, stock rotation and stock control.
- Team Leadership - Ensuring all staff members are completing supporting roles to the standard of the business - whilst engaging and upskilling staff when appropriate.
- Compliance to all internal and external standards (HACCP, WHS etc).
- Manage and drive a continuous improvement culture.
