Our client, a long established business in the industrial engineering, heavy fabrication and manufacturing sector, specialise in providing high-quality products to national clients, tailoring solutions to meet individual requirements.

Due to expansion we are seeking to appoint an experienced Draftsperson to join the team in Brendale

DRAFTSPERSON (CAD)

Start: ASAP

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Mon-Fri (8.30am to 4pm)

Rate: $85K + super

Location: Brendale QLD

About the Company: Our client has operated in the filtration industry for over 25 years assisting businesses to meet their filtration needs; and for more than 10 years, have designed and manufactured high quality and durable Strainer Baskets, Screens, Tubes, Cones, and Tee-Strainers Elements in stainless steel.

About the Role: We're looking for an individual to support general sales and workshop operations by providing:
· Technical sales and customer support
· Job estimates and quotes
· CAD drafting for machine shop needs
· CAD drafting for product development (filter skids, suction and pressure strainer elements, and filter carts)
· Assisting with On-site Visits

You'll have a genuine willingness to learn and be prepared to pitch in and help out where required in this small, family-run business.

You will use your technical and CAD experience to take a customer enquiry, form a recommendation and provide a proposal to the customer

Essential Requirements:

  • Technical sales background within the industrial engineering, structural steel or fabrication sector (or similar)
  • CAD drafting/estimating experience within a related industry
  • Proficient with CAD/Fusion 360 (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-centric approach
  • Proven ability to efficient manage customer enquiries and sales transactions
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a busy environment
  • Trade/engineering background (ideal)
