Amplitude Consultants is a growing Australian multi-national engineering consultancy offering a range of consulting and engineering services associated with AC power transmission and distribution, HVDC power transmission, renewable energy project connections, high voltage land and submarine cables, power electronics and Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS).

As we continue to build our teams through a successful growth period, we are seeking an experienced leader for our power system team to join our existing Global Support Head Office in Spring Hill, Brisbane. We are open to exploring both the national and international candidate market, with relocation and business sponsorship on offer for the right candidate.

Who are we seeking:

An accomplished leader with a strong background in power systems engineering while leading from the front, capable of driving technical excellence resulting in continued business growth and engagement from their team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in:

  • Managing and mentoring a team, ensuring delivery of technical and consulting engagements across transmission, distribution, renewable energy, and related sectors.
  • Personally job managing and overseeing development of power system models and technical studies using industry standard tools (e.g; PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory).
  • Providing specialist technical leadership in power system analysis, modelling, and studies, supporting complex projects and client requirements.
  • Collaborating with management and executive teams to align resources, share best practices, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance in all project activities.

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and team environment
  • Experience with project management and delivery of successful outcomes
  • Hold or have the ability to attain local Professional Registrations/ Certification
