About the role

We are seeking an experienced Power Apps/SharePoint Developer to support a large, government-focused organisation. This role will focus on the design, development, and implementation of Microsoft Power Platform solutions to enhance facilities and fleet management processes, as well as support broader ICT initiatives.

Working closely with ICT and facilities teams, you'll play a key role in building custom Power Apps, automating workflows, and delivering real-time reporting dashboards in Power BI. The role may also extend to SharePoint development and the support and maintenance of business applications. You will report to a senior director within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Automate business processes and workflows with Power Automate.
  • Create and maintain data visualisation and reporting solutions in Power BI.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft services and third-party applications.
  • Ensure all solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Provide technical support and user training.
  • Stay updated on Microsoft Power Platform advancements and recommend improvements.

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing, and maintaining Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint sites.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable

  • 3+ years' experience in similar development roles.
  • Knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SharePoint, and Azure.
  • Experience in facilities management or fleet services systems would be advantageous.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in computer science or related fields.
