About The Role
We're on the lookout for a Principal Power Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in either
Brisbane or Melbourne or work remotely from a location of your choice (within Australia).
In this pivotal role, you'll drive technical excellence across a range of power system studies using tools like
PSS/E, PSCAD
,
PowerFactory
, and
Hypersim
.

You'll bring your expertise in end-to-end grid connection processes, guiding the technical delivery of complex studies and ensuring seamless integration with the grid. Your experience with generator performance standards and a deep understanding of Schedule 5 of the NER will be key to your success.

About You
You're a driven and experienced professional with a passion for power systems and a collaborative mindset. You bring a strong technical foundation and a desire to lead, mentor, and make a real impact in the renewable energy space. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • A degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
  • Around 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering complex, high-voltage grid connection projects—ideally across design, build, and commissioning phases
  • A strong focus on health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ), with a knack for inspiring teams and driving great results—both commercially and for our clients
  • Great people skills—you know how to build strong relationships, communicate clearly, and work with customers and senior stakeholders to find the best way forward
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia and RPEQ registration (or you're actively working towards it and keen to get there)
