About Us:

Quantum-Systems is at the forefront of autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics globally. Our Australian subsidiary, Quantum-Systems Australia, operates in the Defence, Security, and Commercial markets, specialising in Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAS) in the Asia-Pacific region.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, development and integration of sophisticated systems for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) projects. This role demands expertise in systems engineering lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of products that excel in performance, reliability, and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and maintain SUAS architectures and designs.
• Design and implement system integration strategies for SUAS platforms.
• Ensure SUAS platforms meet performance, reliability, and security requirements.
• Support the technical aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation through deployment, emphasizing effective testing, validation, and strict adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
• Support the coordination of system engineering activities and prioritization between Australian, American and German engineering teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

• Tertiary degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent related experience.

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Systems Engineering ideally within the UAS, Defence or aerospace sector.

• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts in both written and verbal formats to management and technical teams.

• Proficiency in using requirements databases such as DOORS or JAMA.

• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Desired

• Familiarity with JIRA.
• Demonstrated planning skills, with a proven track record in contributing to complex engineering projects.
• Experience in avionics, software, hardware design and integration.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the aerospace domain.
