About the role

Geelong United Basketball is seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Partnerships Coordinator to support the delivery and growth of commercial partnerships across Geelong United Basketball, Geelong United NBL1 and Geelong Venom WNBL.

This part-time, onsite role is ideal for someone with a background in partnerships, sales, or marketing, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure.

The successful candidate will coordinate partner relationships, ensure the delivery of partnership benefits, and support the GM of Partnerships & Marketing with pitches, proposals, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Partnership Coordination & Delivery

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned partners, ensuring consistent and professional communication.
  • Coordinate and deliver partnership benefits, including signage, digital assets, activations, and hospitality.
  • Track and report on partnership deliverables, timelines, and performance.
  • Assist in planning and executing partner activations at events and game days.

Support for GM – Partnerships & Marketing

  • Assist in the creation of partnership proposals, presentations, and post-campaign reports.
  • Provide administrative support, including CRM updates, contract tracking, and internal coordination.
  • Contribute to identifying and developing new partnership opportunities.

Event & Game Day Coordination

  • Attend and support Geelong United NBL1 and Geelong Venom WNBL home games, events, and functions.
  • Coordinate partner activations and hospitality experiences on game days.
  • Ensure a high-quality partner experience at all touchpoints.

Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a partnership, sales, or marketing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time management.
  • Desired competency in digital tools, including:

  • (project/task management)

  • HubSpot (CRM and automation)
  • Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for game days and events.
