About the Role

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all stockroom and back-of-house operations to ensure efficient product flow, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company standards. The role supports the day-to-day operations of the store, working closely with management and team members to maintain effective stockroom organisation and operational performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the stockroom team in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Manage the organisation, efficiency and safety of stockrooms, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Oversee deliveries and stock preparation to ensure timely replenishment of the shop floor.
  • Conduct and support daily store briefings and operational updates.
  • Maintain knowledge of current products, promotions and store performance targets.
  • Monitor store budgets and propose actions to achieve operational objectives.
  • Ensure inventory management and stock control procedures are followed in line with company policies.
  • Manage the use of RFID and other stock management devices for efficient replenishment and stock accuracy.
  • Coordinate general maintenance and housekeeping for stockroom areas.
  • Train and support team members on operational policies, procedures and standards.

Skills and Experience

  • Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant work experience, or 3 years of relevant experience in retail or logistics operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in inventory control and stock management systems.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Availability to work 38 hours per week, including a mix of weekdays and weekends.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000
