Our Team
The Product Manager role is based out of our Richmond office in Australia. While primarily remote, the successful candidate will be required to attend our Derrimut office at least one day per week.
What You Will Do
- Develop and improve the product portfolio strategy, identifying growth drivers, how Vista can satisfy customers, drive LTV in line with overarching business strategy and attract new customers. A key element of this includes the development and introduction of new products and the lifecycle management of the current product assortment and experience.
- Obsess over the customer – Demonstrate a deep understanding of the category, markets, customers and use cases. This is both current and including potential use cases and growth opportunities for the future and how Vista can lead the market with solutions for key customer use cases.
- Product and portfolio quality –End-to-end product lifecycle management and new product introductions (NPI), optimisation of the assortment based on customer feedback and the proactive retirement of products. You'll work cross-functionally with vendor managers and operational teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Drive key demand elements of the product range such as pricing, promotion (GTM strategy), merchandizing, and product experience. Own the conversation with the functions of VP in ANZS and with global teams to ensure that performance is optimised across all metrics using ratings & reviews, quality scores, and commercials.
- Build volume forecast for the portfolio - Able to complete a fully phased forecast for all products based on market knowledge and insights into customer behaviour and marketing implications. Take a leadership role in discussions with logistics, vendor partners, finance, and third-party collaborators to minimise stock issues and optimise operational efficiencies.
- Drive growth – you'll have various levers to pull across areas like new product introductions, site, channel, offers, pricing and positioning to achieve our growth goals.
- Delight the customer – Setting the standard on product quality and customer experience.
- Learn, implement & guide – we're looking to redefine and take our product category to the next level. Fact based learning & experimentation is a requirement for the role. Provide mentorship to more junior team members and our global partners regarding the ANZS market.
- Build engagement – we've tasked ourselves with growing our engagement with our customers using our product and manufacturing expertise to grow our market share and our connection with our customers
- Deliver results – ability to lead multiple complex projects and meet goals.
- 5 years of experience in category management, product management, and program management, ideally with exposure to product development initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, marketing or similar.
- Customer focused, with strong strategic, critical thinking, project management and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced e-commerce environment is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables. (SQL knowledge is a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
- Strategic attitude – Demonstrated experience in developing business strategies and leading them. Uses insights to build a clear category strategy and drive commercial growth for VP via customer LTV and acquisition, efficiencies.
- Data Driven - has experience and is comfortable using various data sources to gauge viability of new insights, performance of existing projects, as well as resolving root causes for performance issues.
- Customer Obsessed – Puts the customer at the heart of any decision being made and thinks about the impact on the customer in every instance.
- Strong Influencer - Has shown leadership and influencing others across functions. Able to own the conversation and ensure that partners are aligned in the direction.
- Ability to motivate change - able to drive business results, from ideation to implementation.
- Detail focused - Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a focus on quality. Use all data sources to create a clear story around the path to growth via customer loyalty (LTV) and new customer acquisition with the right range.
