About the role

This role supports our qualified tradespeople and operational teams by performing a range of manual, logistical and preparatory tasks. This role ensures work sites, workshops or production areas run efficiently, safely and with minimal disruption. We are seeking a proactive Trades Assistant to play a key part in maintaining productivity and supporting the delivery of high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities


• Assist tradespeople with tools, materials and job site preparation


• Operate machinery and equipment (e.g. forklifts, power tools) as licensed and required to move, load and unload materials safely and efficiently


• Prepare outgoing goods for dispatch, including packaging, labelling and coordinating logistics


• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and report discrepancies


• Support warehouse or workshop operations as required


• Perform general labouring duties including cleaning, lifting and basic repairs


• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment


• Conduct routine inspections and report faults or hazards


• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Skills and Experience


• Valid Forklift License (LF) is essential


• Previous experience in a trades assistant, warehouse or logistics role preferred


• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment


• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills


• Good communication and teamwork abilities


• Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus


• Willingness to learn and take direction
