Transmin is a world-class provider of innovative engineered equipment, aftermarket parts and services to the mining resources and bulk material handling industries, throughout Australia and Internationally. Established over 38 years ago and with our headquarters in Malaga, Perth, we proudly serve a diverse customer base within the mining and minerals processing sector.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Site Services team for ongoing site projects. In addition to site work, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our operations at our Malaga workshop when not engaged in field activities.

About the Role

  • Travel to mine sites within Western Australia, Australia and overseas as well as working in our Malaga workshop (please note this is not a FIFO role with a set roster)
  • Work in conjunction with our Site Service Supervisors, conducting audits and assisting in shutdown work.
  • Work independently in hands on capacity on site and/or with a team to carry out service works associated with breakdowns and/or shutdowns.
  • Trouble shoot and fault find on equipment to ascertain the primary cause of a problem and implement steps to rectify it.
  • Assist in commissioning and installation of Transmin OEM equipment.

About You

  • Must have a valid trade certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 + years' experience Mechanical Fitting (post trade).
  • Hydraulic experience is advantageous
  • Previous experience on mine site is essential
  • Minimum of C Class driver's license
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen.
  • Rigging/dogging/Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets desirable but not essential.
